This project is a commercial self-storage facility renovation/ expansion located in Phoenix, Arizona, consisting of a 108,000 sf 2-story conversion, new 5,500 square foot enclosed building and two RV parking canopies totaling 17,370 square feet. The structures utilize slab-on-grade foundations, structural steel framing, CMU walls. United Structural Design provided full structural engineering services for the additions, focusing on efficient integration with the existing facility and load-path optimization for open canopy spans.
